Background

Contract bar soap company had negative EBITDA, poor credit ratings, negative FCFU and a heavy debt balance sheet. They reached out to us for rapid enterprise cost transformation to improve profitability and cashflow.

Approach

We built a custom digital planning and inventory management tool to improve planning and scheduling and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by reducing packaging line major and minor stops. Increased OEE led to implementation of workforce-based cost reduction.

Results

Profitability improved by over 500 basis points in less than 12 months. Additionally, simultaneous business process reengineering and process automation led to sustainable process improvements.
